Charles E. Keeports, 92, of York, formerly of Dallastown passed away Monday, January 3, 2011, at Broadmore Assisted Living in York Township. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Sechrist) Keeports, who passed away on December 17, 2010, and with whom he had celebrated 70 years of marriage.

Mr. Keeports was born August 12, 1918, in Bainbridge (Lancaster County).

He was the son of the late Joseph and Ida (McCleary) Keeports.

Mr. Keeports was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church since 1950. He was a graduate of Red Lion High School class of 1936 and attended the University of Maryland. Charles was a flight test engineer during the war from 1940-1946 for Glenn L. Martin Co. and he was the former owner of 'The Beef Shop' in York, which is now 'Superior Meats'.

Mr. Keeports is survived by four children, Richard L. Keeports and his wife, Bonita of York, Leslie K. Reamer and her husband, Walter of Jacobus, Stephen S. Keeports and his wife, Judy of Jacobus and Carolyn K. Doherty of Yoe; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Howard W. Keeports.

Burial will be at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
