James Bill "Billy" Rhodes, 71, of Jemison died Wednesday, Sept 29, 2010. He was born Saturday, Sept. 16, 1939 in Chilton County, son of the late Lonnie Rhodes and the late Alberta Hicks Rhodes. He was a storeowner.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beverly Jo Rhodes of Jemison; 4 sons, Mr. Jimmy W. Rhodes of Jemison, Mr. Kenneth D. Rhodes of Capertino, CA, Mr. Daniel C. Rhodes of Jemison and Mr. Christopher L. Rhodes of Birmingham; daughter, Ms. Beverly Jo Gray of Jemison; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; 2 sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Jackson of Jemison and Mrs. Doris Rachels of Calera; and 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Doris Rhodes of Thorsby and Mrs. Peggy Rhodes of Thorsby.

Services will be Friday, Oct 1, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kelvin Smitherman and Rev. Jeff Mims officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens located in Jemison. Martin Funeral Home directing.
