Verona L. (Smith) Grant of Bridgeville, DE passed away November 6, 2006 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, DE. She was born in Bridgeville, daughter of the late Robert D. and Anita Verona Messick.
Mrs. Grant worked for Delaware Electric Co Op retiring in 2006 in the position of Credit Supervisor after 57 years of service to the Co Op.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Leo Grant, Sr. in 1995 and her son, Gene Tyndall Grant in 1968.
She is survived by her son, James L. Grant and his wife Brenda of Millsboro, DE; two brothers, Robert D. Smith and his wife Jeannette of Bridgeville, and Jerry L. Smith and his wife Mary of Seaford, DE; a sister, Margaret A. (Smith) Lent and her husband Gene of Longwood, FL; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchilden, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Parcell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville at 1:00 PM where friends may call one hour prior to services. Rev. William Goslee will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bridgeville Cemetery.
