Elizabeth R. Wassell, 86, Altoona, died Mon., Dec. 27, 2010, at Altoona Hospital. She was born in Trinidad, CO to Ralph & Ethel Ralson. She married the Rev. William H. Wassell on Dec. 29, 1950, in Clifton, NJ and he died Nov. 20, 2005. Survived by son, John W., of Hollidaysburg and grandsons: Timothy and Jarrod. Predeceased by 2 brothers and a sister. Elizabeth earned a master's degree in Christian education at Denver Univ. She retired as a teacher at Penn-Lincoln Elementary School, Altoona. She was most proud of her accomplishment of teaching English in Japan during the early 1990s. Elizabeth was an active member of Christ Community United Methodist Church, Altoona and also of the PSEA Union. Interment, Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood.
