Betsy was born Nov. 29, 1950, in Rochester, Minn., to Eugene Francis Carroll and Caroline Clark Carroll. She passed away unexpectedly Jan. 2, 2011, at Bay Area Hospital.

Betsy attended public schools in Rochester and Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis.
