Concetta Marie 'Connie' Colello, 91, died Tues., Jan. 4, 2011 at Altoona Hospital. She was most recently a resident of Elmcroft Assisted Living in Duncansville, but she had lived much of her life at 1400 Grant Ave., Altoona. Born in Altoona to Fiorentino & Antoinette (DeTomasso) Pagliara. She married Joseph Colello at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona and he died Sept. 30, 1971. Survived by son, William & wife, Judy, of Mifflintown; daughter-in-law, Patty of Altoona; 7 grandchildren: Teddy (Sue), Kathy 'Kate' (Don Ruggery Jr.), Maria (Curt Drost), Joey (Jodi), Martin (Monica), Ricky (Kristy) and Jill; 8 gr. grandchildren: Donnie, Emma and Maria Ruggery, Lauren and Michael Drost, Tyler Colello and Anthony and Madeline Colello; and sisters in-law: Helen Pagliara, Roberta Pagliara and Regina Mae Ruggery, all of Altoona. Predeceased by son, Dennis 'Denny', Feb. 16, 2005; sisters: Minnie Visaggio, Bobbina 'Bobbi' Martellaci and Linda 'Lee' Lewis; and brothers: John, Julian 'Julie'; Herbie and Art Pagliara. Concetta was a graduate of Altoona High School. She worked for the former Pennsylvania Shoe Factory and was a cook for several area eateries. She was a social member of the A&J Iaia, American Legion Post and was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Santella Funeral Home, Altoona. Committal, Calvary Cemetery.
