H. O. Apel, Benton Citian Dies Sunday
Hermon O. Apel, 72, of Benton City died Sunday night at the General Hospital at 8:30 o'clock. The body will remain at the Precht Funeral Home until services Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Phillip Byron Carlisle, pastor of the First Christian church, will conduct the services, interment in East Lawn Memorial cemetery. A farmer, Mr. Apel, was born in New Baden, Ill., on January 1, 1878, the son of George and Bertha Zimmerman Apel. Survivors include his wife, who was Miss Kate Brinkmeyer; a daughter, Miss Vinita Apel of the home; and a brother, E. G. Apel of Mexico.
