Mr. Gordon Eugene Hargett, 89, Spruce Pine, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home. The funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Officiating at the funeral will be Edward Bragwell. He is survived by his son, Howard E. Hargett and wife, Marie, of Russellville, Ala.; sisters, Mildred Giddy of Double Springs, Ala., Gaynell Gebbards of Peking, Ill.; brother, Clyde Hargett, of Russellville, Ala.; grandchildren, Kyle Hargett, Jennifer Noffke, Myra Schofield, Dana Alford and Janet Spicer; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Dell Hargett; son, Gerald Hargett. Pallbearers will include Mike Madden, Gene Graham, Ronnie Hargett, Howard Grissom, W.T. Sumeral and Larry DeArman. He was retired from Russellville Flower Craft. He was a member of the Isbell Church of Christ, Isbell, Ala.
