CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Rennie L. Quandt, 50, Route 1, who died Wednesday morning in a Mason City hospital, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Ward Funeral Home. The Rev. Arthur Krebs of the Congregational Church will officiate. Burial will be in Meservey Cemetery.
Rennie LeRoy Quandt was born May 22, 1915, at Meservey, the son of Charles and Anna Quandt. He attended Meservey schools, later farming in the Dougherty, Meservey and Belmond areas. He was employed in construction work with Payne Plumbing and Heating Co., Mason City.
Survivors include his wife, Laura; one son, Alvin, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (Sandra) Lovejoy, Mason City; one brother, Clarence, Clear Lake; three sisters, Marie Kluseman, Ventura; Ruby Ward, Des Moines, and Esther Schuster, Dubuque, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one son in infancy.
