Race car driver. Father in law of the late Sheldon Kinser, 1977, 81, 82 USAC National Sprint Car Champion and six time starter of the Indianapolis 500. Grim was the International Motor Contest Association (IMCA) Big Car Champion 1955-58, winning 183 races in 11 years. Joined the United States Auto Club (USAC) in 1959, quailifing for his first of nine Indianapolis 500s (1959-64,66-68), starting fifth and finishing 26th, earning Rookie of the Year honors. In 1966 Bobby achieved the distinction of quailifing the last front engine roadster, the #39 Racing Associates Special ever to race in the Indianapolis 500. He finished 31st after being eleminated in the 11 car crash on the opening lap. His only USAC Big Car win came in the 1960 Syracuse 100. He also won 11 USAC midget features. His career ended due to injuries received in a 1969 midget accident.
