Vincent Napalean "Poe" Wade, 50, of Roanoke, Va., passed away Sunday, January 2, 2011. He was born September 8, 1960, in Roanoke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie E. Manns Wade; and one sister, Althea Perdue. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Talia Wade, of Roanoke, and her mother, Natalie Brown; one son, Marcus Rhodes, of Raleigh, N.C., and his mother, Charlene Penders; father, James Wade, of Roanoke; sisters, Mrs. Roosevelt (Robert) Scott, of Bronx, N.Y., and Marva Wade, of Manhattan, N.Y.; brothers, Robert (Ingrid) Wade, of Hawaii, Dennis (Pat) Wade, of Fort Washington, Md., James (Barbara), of Marietta, Ga., Eric (Jeanette) and Fred (Stephanie) Wade; aunts, Anniebell Martin and Nannie Bowens, all of Roanoke; a host of beautiful nieces, handsome nephews, and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2011, at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Published in Roanoke Times from January 5 to January 7, 2011
