Claire A. Russell (Roman) Thomas

Claire A. Russell Thomas (nee) Roman, formerly of Summit Township, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Ralph Thomas, and originally wed and raised six children with William Russell of Saybrook, Ohio.

Claire was a graduate of East High School.

She was employed by Erie Erisco for 29 years, was an avid gardener, enjoyed doing activities with her grandchildren, and traveling.

She is survived by her children, Bill Russell, Anne Marie Waite, Veronica Ferrara, Clara Russell, John Russell and Donna Grady; 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may call a the Dusckas Funeral Home, on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Prayer Service there on Friday at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart R.C. Church at 1:30 p.m.

Private burial, Calvary Cemetery.
