Professional Football Player. For two seasons (1975 to 1976), he played at the defensive back (free-safety) position in the National Football League with the Miami Dolphins. He attended Carver High School in Delray Beach, Florida, where he achieved All-State in football and basketball, and played collegiate football at Iowa State University. While with the Cyclones, Hill earned both All-American and Big Ten Honors, concluding his collegiate career with the Big East Conference records for interceptions in a single season with 9 and career interceptions with 21. He was selected by Miami during the 5th round of the 1975 NFL Draft and appeared in 20 career games, as he was a part of the Dolphins' secondary which included veteran Super Bowl winners Charlie Babb, Curtis Johnson and Tim Foley. Hill retired as a player due to multiple knee injuries and worked as a high school football coach, athletic director and guidance counselor. He was inducted into the Iowa State University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006.
