MRS. F.C. WILLIAMS PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Mary Campbell Williams, wife of Frederick C. Williams, Sr., of New York City, passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. Harry Rawlins, on Prospect street in this village, early Saturday morning, April 2nd, following an illness of some days. Mrs. Williams came here a short time ago to attend the funeral of her brother, the late John H. Campbell, and was taken sick while here, and had not been well enough to return to her home. Mr. Williams was called, when her condition became serious, but he received word in Albany, N.Y., of her passing.
The funeral was held on Monday morning when low mass was said by Rev. Charles F. Regan at St. Paul's church. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery in Arlington. The bearers were David Vetal, Edward Hanley, Frank D. McGuire, Cornelius Whalen and Frank Regan. On Tuesday morning a high mass of requiem was sung at the church.
Mrs. Williams was born in Manchester May 20, 1875, the daughter of the late Edward and Susan Campbell. She attended the schools of Manchester and Burr and Burton Seminary. On October 7, 1896 she was married to F.C. Williams of Stafford, England. They were the parents of 14 children, 11 of whom are now living. Mrs. Williams' entire life had been spent in Manchester, until some three years ago when the family moved to New York City, where they have since made their home. She was a member of Court St. Rita, C.D.A., and the members of the court attended the funeral on Monday in a body.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband and 11 children; Frederick C. Williams, Jr., Albany, N.Y.; Margaret, New York; Mrs. Donald Bullis, Albany; James A. Williams, Springfield, Mass.; Catherine, Susan, Joseph, Sarah, Louise, John and Grace, all of New York.
