Mrs. Elizabeth Dade Griffith, widow of William T. Griffith, formerly of Jefferson and Poolesville, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.P. Pyles, Hancock, after a brief illness, aged 82 years. She had made her home with her daughter for about ten years since the death of her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Pyles; one son, C. Dade Griffith, of Washington, D.C., and five grandchildren. One brother, Maurice Dade, of Jefferson, and a number of nieces and nephews in this section, also survive.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in Monocacy chapel at Beallsville. Interment in cemetery adjoining.
