Snuggles was the first dachshund we ever had. When my husband brought Snuggles home I had never had a pet and I was actually extremely afraid of dogs. Snuggles was only 3 weeks old when we got him, his mother had milk fever and she could not feed her pups so we had to feed him with a doll bottle and eye dropper. When my husband called me the day we got Snuggles he asked if it was ok to bring someone home for supper and I told him that was fine but that we were having red beans and rice and they would have to eat that also. Well, needless to say Snuggles never ate red beans and rice and when they drove up I went out and met them and fell in love and carried Snuggles in and I have never been afraid of animals since. It is hard believe the amount of love that came into our home when that tiny 3 week old puppy became a part of our family and how my life was changed forever thanks to that 3 week old doxie we named Snuggles. We had Snuggles for 13 wonderful love filled years but had to let go of him when his health declined and we knew he was ready to cross that rainbow bridge. We miss Snuggles an awful lot but we know he loves his new home where he has lots of friends.
You left footprints on our hearts Snuggles and memories that will last forever.

Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing in our memories of Snuggles. He was the beginning of many great memories for our family. Thanks also for all of the love you leave him.
