Jerome Emerson Wicks, 90, Bellwood, died Sun., Jan. 2, 2011 at home. He was born in South Fork to Ralph & Rosina (Penatzer) Wicks. He married Patricia Ann Wall, April 25, 1942, in Winchester, VA and she died Aug. 10, 1999. Survived by sons: Barry E. and Bruce E. & wife, Donna 'DeeDee,' all of Bellwood, and Stephen D., of Hollidaysburg; 11 grandchildren; 17 gr. grandchildren; 3 gr. gr. grandchildren; and sister, Violet Sonafelt, of Ligonier. Predeceased by sister, Dorothy McCoy. Jerome retired as a freight conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad after 41 years of service. He was a U.S. Army, WWII veteran, serving in Africa, Italy, the Rhineland and Europe, and he earned a European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal with three bronze stars. Member, Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood; Tyrone VFW; Bellwood F.O.E.; Retired Railroaders Assn. and United Transportation Workers. Jerome enjoyed residential homebuilding, remodeling and carpentry. He also enjoyed hunting and vegetable and flower gardening. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. Interment, Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
