The son of James Hiram Stricklin and Nancy Caroline Daniel. He was united in marriage to Adella P. Morrow on Dec. 26, 1881. He was pastor of Methodist Church in Nashville, TN. He was struck by a streetcar in Nashville, TN and killed. His nickname was "Bill".
