Mr. Robert Hughes Brown, age 78, of Washington, D.C., died December 16, 1990. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gwendolyn Willis Brown, Washington, D.C.; his mother, Annie Mae Brown, Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Mildred C. Ballard, Cincinnati, Ohio; one grandchild, Crystal Connell, El Paso, Texas; five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 noon at the Big Hill Baptist Church, Salem, with Dr. K.B. Wright officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church by 5:00 p.m. Thursday where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Family headquarters will be at 316 South Market Street, Salem. Hamlar-Curtis, Morticians.
