As Hollis researchers, we've found little on A. J. Hollis other than a census record and his burial place beside his father.
In 2014, a geography book was found by Ed Preston in the personal belongings of his mother, Grace Preston. He sent the book on to his sister, Pat Wiley. The book has pages where personal notes are written and in one of those notes it shows the book was given to Beulah [Long] Preston from her grandmother [Malissa Hollis] and the note also shows the book was previously owned by Andrew Hollis, Beulah's uncle. What a treasure to find for Pat and Ed, the grandchildren of Beulah (Long) Preston! And...what a gift for us to finally be able to confirm the given name of A. J. Hollis was Andrew!
