On Monday afternoon the death Angel visited the home of Amos Strickland and claimed for his victim Mrs. Sarah Jane Stricklin. Her death was not a surprise but, however, came unexpected. She had been in feeble health for several months.
Mrs. Stricklin was married to Amos Stricklin July 18, 1868, and joined the Presbyterian Church at the age of 18 years. She was 68 years old at the time of her death.
Mrs. Stricklin leaves three sons Lee, Frank, and Iley, all of who reside in the Clifton neighborhood. There are sixteen grandchildren.
Mrs. Stricklin was buried in the family plot on the home place.
