Mr. Wilde Elmer Jenkins, 82, of Anne Drive, Dearing, Georgia, entered into rest Saturday, July 6, 1991, at McDuffie County Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dearing Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Gaines officiating. Burial will be in Dearing Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Oran Johnston, W.H. Eubanks, Walter Meese, William Lennenkohl, Danny Hahn, Hugh McGahee, Len Brooks, Jimmy Brooks and Kenneth Welch. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Dearing Baptist Church and members of the Adult Sunday School Class and Brotherhood of the Dearing Baptist Church. Mr. Jenkins, a native of Fulton County, formerly lived in Macon and made his home in Dearing for 13 years, where he served as city clerk. He had retired as a salesman and warehouse manager and was a member of Dearing Baptist Church, where he served on the deacons board. He was a member of Harlem Masonic Lodge No. 276, F. and A.M., Central City Chapter No. 28 Order of the Eastern Star, Unity Court No. 21 of Amaranth, and was past grand patron for the state of Georgia. Survivors include his wife, Lou Delle Hunt Jenkins; three daughters, Martha Jean Burns, Jesup, Sylvia Ann Atwood, Gainesville, Fla., and Mary Sue Porter, Dearing; two sisters, Betty Ruth Lee, Gordon, and Rosa Ware, Macon; and three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Johnson Memorial Chapel.
