Cecelia Julian Quiett - Mary is my great-aunt
Mary Cecilia Quiett married Edward Alexander Tierney in St. Mary's Church ~ Kansas City, Kansas ~ March 2, 1905
[below: as quoted from her daughter's narrative]
Mary Cecilia Quiett Tierney. "Mother attended Mount St. Mary's Academy in Leavenworth, Kansas, and Loretto Academy [Catholic girls school] in Kansas City, Missouri. She studied music, violin and voice; art, china and tapestry painting; and did fancy embroidery work. She was a lady to the core and very well read. Even though Mother died when we were so young, she instilled good manners in all of us -- even George, who was only 5, would quote her wishes."
