Memorial services will be held on January 3rd at Zion Lutheran church of Colome starting at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in the Colome cemetery.
Roger D. Eubanks was born August 29, 1918, at Ames, Iowa, the son of John and Bessie (Frye) Eubanks. He worked as a chef and later operated a body shop.
Roger was married to Vola Rash Worden on September 30, 1976. They lived in Hot Springs, SD and then moved to Colome, SD in 1981. In Colome he built a body shop and operated it until his retirement.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Colome, SD.
Roger and Vola moved to the Elder Inn in Winner, SD in Dec of 2005 where he passed away on Dec. 29, 2010 at the age of 92 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents , two brothers: Harvey and Garland and two sisters: Vivian and Dorothy. Also by a step son-in-law James Hinek of Buffalo Gap, SD and one grandson Michell Hinek.
Those blessed to have shared his life are his wife Vola of Winner, SD - three step children: Jacqualyn (Dean) Musilek of Colome, SD – Judy Hinek of Buffalo Gap, SD and Dick (Barb) Worden of Cary, NC and by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
