Mrs. Orr was born March 27, 1927, in York, and was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Anna P. (Riese) Fogle.
She graduated from William Penn H.S. Class of '45 and the American School of Beauty Culture in York in '45. She attended Robert Franeca in New York City and worked at the former Stillman's Beauty Shop and Mary Teressi in York. She also taught cosmetology at York Vo-Tech and attended Penn State, was the former owner/operator of Audrey's Beauty Shop for five years, served as proctor for the State Licensing Board of Cosmetologists, and worked for 10 years as a cashier at the Weis Markets at Roosevelt Ave. and Rt. 30. She was a member of First St. John's Lutheran Church and the Shiloh Lionesses.
Mrs. Orr is survived by four daughters, Linda J. Heckert and husband, Wayne of Dover, Dianna L. Golden and husband, Gary of York, Wendy D. Emig and companion, Mark Neff of Dover, and Tammy J. Bosley and husband, Brian of Dallastown; three grandsons, Troy R. and Shawn R. Picking, and Buddy Emig; a stepgrandson, Shawn Bosley; two great-grandsons, Jason and Braydon Picking; two sisters, Anna Louise Sprenkle of Hellam and Norma Jean Null of York; two brothers, Francis and Dale Fogle, both of York; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Fogle of York; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and Donald Fogle.
Burial will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
