Lillian R. Freeman, 90, of West Old Nashville Rd., died at 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the home of her son, Terry Freeman.

Mrs. Freeman was a greeter at Wal-Mart and worked in retail for 14 years until 2004.

She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her pets, the outdoors, flowers, birds, and she enjoyed knitting.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 7, 2007 by Myers-Reed Dignity Memorial Chapel on 25th St.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2007 and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.

Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Bartholomew County Humane Society or to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Clay County, Ind. on November 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Edith Payton Cooprider.

She married Clifford D. Freeman in Marshall, Ill. on June 25, 1935 and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1985. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Ray Freeman.

Mrs. Freeman is survived by a daughter; Shirley (Stephen) Stroud of Ft. Worth, Texas, three sons; Jerry (Judy), Terry (Jean), and Jan Freeman all of Columbus, Ind.; a half-sister, Clarice Anna of Illinois; seven grandchildren; Jerry G. (Becky) and Keri Freeman, and Kylie (Justin) Sullivan all of Columbus, Ind., Michael Stroud and Melissa (Steve) Bonneville, both of Ft. Worth, Texas, Melanie (Luke) Mason of Springtown, Texas, and Brandon Freeman of Louisville, Ky.; eight great-grandchildren, Kandie Mundy, Nikki, Jamie, Megan, and Sarah Mason, Alex and Daniel Doss, and Lyla Sullivan; and two great-great-grandchildren, Scotty and Lori Mundy.
