Robert served as a 1st Lieutenant, Advisory Team 31, U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was from Wilmington, Delaware.

Robert was "Killed In Action" in the Phu Bon Province during the war and was awarded a "Silver Star" and a Purple Heart.

Robert Attended Parsons College in Fairfield Iowa, and was a brother in the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity.

He was noted as a kind gentle soul, liked and respected by his brothers. An honorary award is offered in his name at each fraternity reunion.

He is honored on Panel 15W, Row 32 of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington, D.C.
