Melvin Ulric Rowe, 69, of 921 Masonic Avenue, Belding died Sunday at United Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
He was born in Kansas City, Kansas, July 3, 1898 [to John Henry Rowe & Zella Marie Rowe].
Melvin lived in the Belding area since 1939. He was a farmer and also worked at Byrant Elevator, and was
presently an attendant at the Belding Fuel Company.
His first wife Elsie Conrad died 1960, and in 1964 he was married to Virginia Malik, who survives.
Besides his wife he leaves one son Donald of Orleans, two stepsons Michael and Martin Malik at home in Belding;
four stepdaughters, Mrs. Anna Winright of Belding, Mrs. Sharon Green of Grand Rapids, Joyce and Kathern Malik at
home; one granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Leora Lester of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Mrs. Susan Mitchell of
New Westminster, B.C., Canada.
