WELLSBORO, Pa. — Mrs. Ella L. Schofield, 76, of Park Hill Manor, died Sunday at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Nov. 28,1895 in Sylvania, she was the daughter of Henry and Caroline Shieve Grinnell. |
She was the widow of Clifford Schofield.
She was a member of the Millerton Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Agnes) Noyes of Addison, N. Y., Mrs. Stanley (Alice) Stermer of Tioga and Mrs. Harry (Margaret) Butcher of Granville Summit; two sons, H. Grinnell Schofield of Utica, N. Y. and Harold L. Schofield of Oneida, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Osgood and Mrs. Jesse (Louise) Bryant, both of Wellsboro, and " Mrs. Nellie Palmer of Mosherville; four brothers, Lee Grinnell of Wells¬boro, Shirley Grinnell of Jobs Corners, Edgar Grinnell of Chemung, N. Y. and Harold Grinnell of Waverly, N. Y.; 24 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Kuhl and Spink Funeral Home Tues-day from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held there Wednesday at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Roland Osgood of Syracuse, N. Y. officiating. Burial will be in Jobs Corners Cemetery.
