Alfred D. Lambert, 71, of 103 Merrill St. died Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Lambert was a life resident of Syracuse. He retired after 43 years as a
sales representative for General Foods Corp. Mr. Lambert was a member of the Pastime Athletic Club. He was a former leader of Pierre Le Moyne School's Cub Scout Pack 50. Mr. Lambert was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in England, Africa and Italy with the 308th Fighter Squadron. He was a member of Mattydale Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanette Simmonds; three daughters, Majken Sellar of Argyle, Kathleen Lambert of Denver, Colo., and Pamela Trainor of Washington, D.C.; a son, Alfred J. of Syracuse ; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Carter Funeral Home, the Rev. William Sammons officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 1604 Grant Blvd.
