Born to Ruth and Philip Zang, a prominent Denver pioneer family, she attended East High School, Barnard College, and graduated from Children's Hospital School of Nursing.
She had two loving husbands, Allyn F. Ekstrom, and following his death, John W. Burnett.
She is remembered as a Denver Public School nurse and dedicated volunteer.
Dearly loved by all, she was wife of John Burnett, mother of Barbara (Dale) Anderson, Carolyn (John) Jamison, James Ekstrom; step-mother of Cynthia Burnett; grandmother of six, great-grandmother of four, aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 10 AM, Englewood Bible Church, 3190 S. Grant, 80113.
