S. O. EMBREE, 78, MONROE FARMER, DIES AT ST.LOIS
Samuel Omer Embree, 78, life-long resident of Monroe County, died early this morning in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, where he had been a patient since Feb. 8.
Mr. Embree farmed in Monroe County with the exception of a few years spent in Moberly. He was a charter member of the Evansville baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Irene Newman; 10 children, Mrs. Fay Hendren, Centralia, Mrs. Dorothy Davenport, Mrs. Emma Martin, and Newman, Franklin Roosevelt., and Samuel Embree Jr., all of Moberly, Mrs. Helen Utterback, Hannibal, Mrs. Florence Holder, Clarence, and Dwight Embree and Miss Shirley Embree of the home; a sister, Mrs. Archie Casteel, Hopkins, Iowa; and 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
