A Sad Death.
The remains of Mr. J. S. Munnerlyn passed through Macon last night on their way to Savannah for interment. Mr. Munnerlyn was riding on horseback near Clarksville last Friday, and the bit broke. The horse shied to one side, and in doing so a small pine sapling on the side of the road knocked him from the horse, and he was killed. He lived about three hours after the accident.
He was a brother-in-law of Mr. I. B. English and a kinsman of Col. R. K. Hines. He was discount clerk in the Central Railroad Bank at Savannah, and was esteemed for his fidelity and courtesy. He was born near Bainbridge, Decatur county, was thirty-three years of age, and leaves a wife, a daughter of Col. Geo. S. Owens, and a child to morn his loss.
