She was a long time educator in the Arizona School system from 1935 to 1978. After her retirement she taught adult literacy at the Mesa Literacy Center.
She married Warren P. Foote in 1941.
Her husband Warren, her parents, sisters, Glenda and Minnie, and a brother Arlin who was killed in World War II, and two grandchildren, Angela and Michael Foote, precede her in death.
She leaves behind three children, Jane (Al) Malupo, Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Kenneth (Barbara), Greensboro, North Carolina, Doyle (Teena), Mesa, AZ. And two brothers, Hal (Bertha) Porter, Holbook, AZ, and Lester Porter, Salt Lake City, Utah, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many positions of responsibility during her lifetime.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2005 at the Meadowgreen Ward Chapel at 851 S. 32nd St. in Mesa.
Family and friends are invited o attend a viewing at 1:00 p.m. In the Relief Society room of Meadowgreen Ward.
