Ogden (Weber County), Utah, Standard Examiner, November 1, 1935: Jos. H. Aldous Dies On Coast. Joseph H. Aldous, son of the late George P. Aldous and Christiana Thurston, died at his home in Orland, Cal., Thursday.

He was born July 23, 1884, in West Weber. He fulfilled a mission in 1910 in the northwestern states for the L.D.S. church, and served as superintendent of the Orland Sunday school prior to his illness.

He is survived by his widow, Vera Tracy, and two children, Gladys and Donna Rae, and the following brothers and sisters: George Aldous, and Mrs. R.A. Slater of Ogden; Alfred E. Aldous of Manhattan, Kan.; Robert T. Aldous of Gunnison; Edward E. Aldous of Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Phillip Slater of Burley, Idaho, and Mrs. C.C. Bihler of Orland, Cal. Funeral services with burial will be in Orland [sic; Chico] on Sunday.
