He was born Dec. 15, 1923 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Ira and Laura Mae Beckett Kimble. He was retired from Corning Glass after 34 years of service. He was an Army veteran having served in World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Connie Ray-Statham and her husband, Charles of Hollywood, Fla., and Linda Lee Mason and her husband Mark of Toledo, Ohio; one step-daughter, Gloria Davis and her husband John of Parkersburg; one step-son, Tommy Watson and his wife Linda of Orlando, Fla.; one sister, Betty George of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Kimble; one step-son, Johnny Watson; and one grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green St., Parkersburg with Pastor Michael Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
