Eli German Dies At James Store

James Store - Eli Samuel German, 79, a retired farmer, died at his home here Wednesday after a lingering illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie German of James Store; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Deal Sr. of James Store; a son, Melvin German of Blakes; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four brothers, J. W. German of Norfolk, J. S. German of Maryland, S. J. German of Foster and T. H. German of James Store.

Mr. German was a member of Chapel Lodge No. 235, IOOF, of Cobbs Creek and Omaha Tribe 92, IORM, of North. He was also a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday conducted by the Rev. O. G. Burnett. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The cortege will leave the residence st 2:30 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be Franklin German, Christian German, Francis Haynes, Raymond German, Garland Hall and Herman German.
