Pastor Randy C. Osborne, age 49, of 2076 Moonlit Trail in Vale, went to be with his Savior on Friday, December 31, 2010.
His funeral will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 pm at the church prior to the service.
Pastor Osborne was the son of Mary Lou Osborne and the late RC Osborne.
Randy was a veteran of the Air Force and worked for 31 years in the computer technology industry.
His life really began when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in August 2004. Randy was ordained to the Ministry as a Pastor on May 14, 2006 and served his Savior as a supply preacher for the Southfork Baptist Association, and also as the volunteer Chaplain for the Brian Center Nursing Home and Carillon Nursing Home. He loved his church and was an active member at Calvary Baptist Church serving in many areas.
Survivors included his wife of 29 years, Tanya Brown Osborne of the home; three children, Chris Osborne of Asheville, and twins Meredith and Morgan Osborne of the home; three brothers, Michael Osborne of Lincolnton, Gene Osborne and wife Leann of Lincolnton, and Robert Osborne and wife Sunny of Lincolnton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ronnie and Perri Brown of San Angelo, Texas; seven nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the building fund of Calvary Baptist Church, 493 Calvary Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
