Mrs. Grace V. Reed, 84, of West Valley, N.Y., formerly of Frederick, died Tuesday, May 29, 2007.

Born August 8, 1922, in Knoxville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Raymond and Mary Lou Runkles Webber.

She was the wife of the late Charles Thomas Reed Sr.

Mrs. Reed had worked as an office clerk for the Encyclopedia Americana Publishing Co. She was of the Lutheran faith. Her hobbies were arts and crafts.

She is survived by three grandchildren, Lisa Michelle Proctor and husband Brett of New York, Barbara Ann Brown and husband Steve of Bowie and Charles Thomas Reed III and wife Natalie of Rockville. A sister of Clarence Edgar Webber of Boonsboro. She was also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Charles T. Reed Jr.

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Muriel H. Barber Funeral Home, 21525 Laytonsville Road, Laytonsville. Funeral services will begin at noon. The Rev. Jeff Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
