Death of Mrs. Voigtlander
Frances L. Voigtlander was born August 13, 1850, at Trumble, Fairfield county, Connecticut. She and her parents moved to Wisconsin and she grew to womanhood in Sheboygan Falls. In 1871 she moved to Nebraska and had lived in this community ever since.
She departed this life at 10 a.m. Friday, September 6, 1946, at the Geneva General hospital at the age of 96 years and 24 days.
Surviving her are her five children, Will of Valley Falls, N. Y., Mrs. W. R. Fultz of Hyattville, Wyo., Mrs. Edward Griess of Kearney, Neb., Mrs. Frank Battle and Mrs. George Ward of Geneva, also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
Her husband, four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
She had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Frank Battle, after giving up her own home three years ago because of advanced age.
She has been a good citizen of this community, being one of the pioneers of this state. She was a life long member of Trinity Episcopal church. She had been in failing health for the past year. She was a kind and loving mother and lived a happy and peaceful life.
Funeral services took place at the Hrubesky Funeral home Tuesday afternoon, September 10. Rev. Isaac Cassel officiating. Madams J. W. Hammond and George Shuber sang. A granddaughter, Mrs. W. N. McCrory sang one number. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
