He was united in marriage on March 25, 1885, to Martha Johnson, and to this union was born a son, Andrew, and a daughter, Eleanor. Mrs. Angstrom passed away on November 3, 1916.
He was united in marriage to Mrs. Emma Peterson in 1917. Surviving to mourn his passing are his wife, Emma, his daughter, Mrs. Fred (Eleanor) Schierholz, both of Stratford; two step children, Mrs. Arvon (Esther) Jones of Des Moines and Clarence Peterson of Mapleton; three sisters, Mrs. Christine Thompson of Stratford, Minnie Greely of Washington, D.C., and Mary Rodine of Des Moines; two brothers, Albert Angstrom of Staples, Minn., and John Angstrom of Wilbur, Washington; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, one brother and one son.
Mr. Angstrom was one of the early pioneers in this community. His friendship was extended to all and he gained the respect of many people.
Funeral services were held from the Hanson Funeral Home in Stratford on Tuesday, Sept. 28, at 2 o'clock p.m., with the Rev. Otto S. Steele of Calvary Methodist Church officiating. Two vocal selections, "Beyond the Sunset," and "Abide With Me," were sung by Mrs. Otto Steele, accompanied by Mrs. Cleo Bell. The pallbearers were Harold Westrum, Eldon Westrum, Clyde Naylor, John Garvin, Fred Samuelson, and Fred Fry. Burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery.
