Mrs. Andersen Dies at Home In Torrington

Mrs. Lois A. Andersen, 68, died Friday at her home in Torrington.

She was born Aug. 16, 1903, in Ainsworth, Neb., and attended schools there. Following high school she attended Chadron State Teacher's College, Chadron, Neb. Following graduation from college she taught school in Nebraska.

June 30, 1926, she married Martin G. Andersen in Ainsworth. Following their marriage they made their home in Torrington where Andersen was employed by the Holly Sugar Company.

In 1948 the couple moved to Brawley, Calif., where they made their home until 1956 when they returned to Wyoming and purchased the Riggs Motel in Dubois.

Andersen died Feb. 22, 1957. Mrs. Andersen continued operation of the motel in Dubois for a short time. She returned in Torrington in 1959 where she has worked at the Z and W Mills Company ever since.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Guy Tweed of Casper, four grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Harold Hayes of Santa Clara, Calif., Mrs. John Nelson of Bassett, Neb., and Mrs. Nell Cobb of Blue Grass, Iowa, and one brother James Hurless of Ainsworth.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bustard Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Sims, All Saints Episcopal church in Torrington, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
