Glen Junior Baxter

Glen Junior Baxter ws born September 17, 1931 in Gunnison, Utah, the son of Glen and Cleo Helena Anderson Baxter. He died December 28, 2010, in Ogden, Utah due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 18, 2010.

Glen graduated from Manti High School in 1950. He lived in Manti, Salt Lake City and Clearfield, Utah.

He married Helen Neilson on September 12, 1952, in the Manti LDS Temple. Helen died in an automobile accident on April 6, 1953. He married Donna May Hamblin on March 12, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Donna died in an automobile accident on September 18,2010.

Glen was employed at Hill AFB as an Aircraft Mechanic for over 40 years, retiring Jan 2, 1992.

He was a member of the LDS Church in the Clearfield 9th Ward. He served in many calling including a counselor in the Bishopric and was a faithful, dedicated home teacher.
Glen was a great example of service. No matter what the need was, he was there to help. He was a quiet leader. He may not have had a lot to say, but his actions did speak louder than words. Glean enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work, golfing, and vehicle maintenance. Glen supported his children and grandchildren in all of their church, school and recreational activities. He definitely did lead by example and has left a great legacy for his family to follow.

Survived by his sons; Steven (Alicia), Layton UT; Kent (Cherie), Clearfield, UT; eight grandchildren: Katie, Todd (Kathleen) Tate (serving an LDS Mission in Minnesota), Holly Brad, Ryan (Reanna), Amy (Kevin) Odenwalder, Brent (serving an LDS mission in Washington), one great-grandson on the way, brother, Andrew (Shirley) Baxter, Layton, UT; sisters in law: Darlene Nixon Browning , Thousand Oaks, CA; Carol (Dan) Gibson, Riverdale, UT; and nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, and Donna and Helen.
