William Albert Moreland was born on June 7, 1891, probably in Parker County, Texas. His parents were John William Moreland and Hester Ann Mills Moreland. William was the third of their six sons.
William grew up to marry Nancy R. Brown. By the 1930 Census, the couple had seven children--4 daughters and 3 sons. William worked for the telephone company as did several of his brothers.
William died on June 14, 1971, a week after his 81st birthday. He died in Graystone Manor in Houston, Harris County. He was buried in Brookstone Cemetery where he had buried his parents. His wife Nancy was buried next to William 17 years later.
