Annie Jane was the daughter of Charles Wells and Jane Smith. She was born in Overwhitacre, Warwickshire, England and joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1893 with her family. She immigrated to America in 1902 aboard the ship "Commonwealth" arriving in Boston in November. Annie married William Albert Masters on 12 November 1902 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Evidently, the two were acquainted in Warwickshire before their immigration. Annie and William were the parents of five children before Annie's death: Bennet Wells, Victor William, Bennet, Lucille, Ivy Annie and Mildred. William Albert Masters married Audrey Elizabeth Despain on 21 August 1912 and they had five children. William was a farmer in Buhl, Twin Falls, Idaho where he died in 1955.
