NEWPORT NEWS - Wendy R. Thacker, 42, of Newport News, passed away suddenly on Dec. 28, 2010.
She grew up in Williamsburg, and graduated from Bruton High School in 1986. Wendy was a devoted mother to her daughter, Caroline.
Wendy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dub and Ruenette Thacker; and her maternal grandfather, Charlton L. Brown.
She is survived by her best friend, Howard Stallings; her daughter, Caroline Brandt; her mother, June Lynn and her husband, Terry; her father, Frank Thacker and his wife, Gloria; her grandmother, Myrtle Brown; her sister, Shelley Millirons and her husband, David; her niece, Elizabeth, and nephew, McKinley, both of whom she adored.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, with interment to follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
