Grannie spent many years totally bedridden from crippling arthritis. I was born in 1958 and have no memory of her except laying in her bed. Her days were spent watching her favorite soap operas, Days of Our Lives, The Doctors, and As the World Turns. Her total care was provided by her daughter whom she lived with, Ellen Leslie.

It was very common to hear her sweet voice coming from her bedroom humming and singing hymns.

You are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure.

I thought of you with LOVE today, but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too.

I think of you in silence, I often speak your name;
But all I have are memories that are captured in a frame.

Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part,
God has you in His keeping, but I have you in my heart.
Love Always Mary
