Death of Mrs. P. R. Toll
Mrs. P. R. Toll died at her home on east Lincoln street Monday afternoon at two o'clock after a lingering illness of many months. She had been a sufferer for nearly a year with rheumatism and three weeks ago was taken down with typhoid pneumonia. She was too weak from her long siege of sickness to recover from such a treacherous disease, although she fought it for three long weeks. Deceased had been a resident of Estherville for ten years and was a kindhearted and generous woman, always ready to help those in need and a devout Christian, being a member of the Christian church of this place. She was forty-three years of age at the time of her death. P. R. Toll, her husband is the only surviving relative in this city. Funeral services will be held in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and the remains interred in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended the bereaved husband in hours of profound sorrow. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, August 17, 1904)
