She was born June 21, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of John and Mary Craigmyle Petrakos. She was raised in Madison and was a graduate of Madison High School. She moved to California in the 1950s and lived there for about 10 years. During World War II she worked in civil service in the stenographic pool for the Department of Defense. She had lived in the Dayton, Ohio, area since the 1960s. She was a member of the Incarnation Catholic Church in Centerville, Ohio. She enjoyed working as an Avon representative for the past 40 years. She also enjoyed buying and collecting things.
She is survived by one brother, Pat Petrakos of Madison; one sister, Martha Fewell of Indianapolis; one half sister, Anna Chambless of Scottsburg; six nephews; three nieces; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Kasper, whom she married June 8, 1945, and who died March 29, 1997; her parents; three sisters, Tysia Kappas, Christina Fago and Catherine Baglan; and one brother, Ingram Petrakos.
A graveside service and burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
