Julian Lester had fair skin, blue eyes and light hair, Irish, no doubt. The 1910 and 1920 Census say he was born in Georgia per his son, Henry Lester. Miss Anna Lyles was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. When she was quite young she married Julian Lester. They soon started for Louisiana. Stopped in Mississippi. Henry Lester was born in Mississippi, 1835. Not long afterwards they went on to Louisiana (built a home by the Natchitoches and Hattens Ferry Road). In 5 or 6 years they sold out and built a new home on a red hill near Middle Creek bottom (Sabine Parish). He (Julian) started to clear a new ground field. He worked hard and soon got sick and died (about 1844). Left his wife and four little children Henry, William, Sarah and Martha.
